This is not hype. The burst rifle of today is unbelievable. This gun can shut down Bo7 lobby with frightening efficiency, no matter if you are fighting near the enemy or facing snipers in another part of the world. During my testing I found that if you have a decent aim, this weapon will consistently deliver one to two bursts. Build this Nuke class right away if you're looking to melt enemies and secure your first Nuke before they even react.
The Gunsmith : Building the instant-delete bo7 accounts machine
We're creating a Ghost Burst system that balances Range (distance), Stealth (hiding) and Snap-Handling. It's simple logic: hit fast, hit hard and stay hidden.
Optic LT1: Mini
While the iron sight is passable, as a precision-burst weapon the LT1 Mini wins hands down.
The Experience is unobtrusive and simple. This optical system ensures that you can track targets easily at any range, even if you are shooting upper-chest shots in order to maximize your burst.
Defense H Suppressor with Muzzle
This is a good tip: Do NOT sacrifice ADS performance for recoil-control you do not need.
Why choose this option: You will not be on the minimap when you are firing. If you want to make it up the ranks in high-skilled lobbys, then staying hidden is your best bet.
What to avoid - Do not use the monolithic suppressor. This weapon already offers a fantastic range. Slowing down your ADS (Aim-Down-Sight) speed is a bad idea. We want to be able to quickly lock onto targets without having to wrestle with the heavy barrel.
Barrel: 19.5 Shroud Barrel
This is by far the most critical accessory on the gun.
It increases your damage and magazine capacity.
This means you will be killed by the default mag when you face multiple enemies. If you miss just a few rounds, you still have 45 rounds in your tank.
Alternative: If you're not worried about ammo, the 17.6 Charelle O2 would be a great choice for vertical recoil. However, the 19.5 Shroud really is the best option.
Underbarrel - Skip it
You read it right. Leave this space empty.
The underbarrels for recoil are completely useless on a weapon such as the Maverick. We don't have to use them. Save your attachment slot for things that actually increase your stats.
Rear Grip (Deadless Grip)
The X9 is only weak at close-range maneuvering, but this grip corrects that.
The Boost: This dramatically increases dive-to Fire, slide to Fire, and ADS general speeds.
Combat Value - If you're pushed back by an SMG and you have this grip, you can quickly grab the gun in your hand to fire it off before you are shot down. It makes it possible to use the gun in close quarters.
Laser: 3mW Movement Strike Laser
What's your question? Won't my laser let me down? This gun doesn't care.
The Logic : This laser enhances damage and recoil stability. Although it is visible in ADS mode, the Time-to-Kill(TTK) of the laser is so fast, that when the enemy sees the laser they have already returned.
Verdict - It's the only time I ever recommend a Laser. It turns the rifle into a real laser beam.
Perks & Gear – Surviving Spam
The current state of Bo7 is chaotic. Lobbies abound with Counter UAVs & EMP spam. To counter this we are running Perk Greed Wildcards to increase our survivability.
Essential Perks
Blue Perk: Flak Jacket
Non-negotiable. The explosive spam is lethal at the moment; without this you give away points to your enemy.
Green Perk: Vigilance
This is the game changer. This update has made the amount of spam Counter UAV/EMP unimaginable. These disruptions can be avoided by maintaining vigilance.
Conditional Trigger - If you're in a room where no one uses counters, then feel free to switch this out for Fast Hands if you want faster reloads. If your minimap becomes distorted, you should immediately switch back to the Vigilance mode.
Support Perks:
Looper & Bankroll: These will help you cycle streaks faster. Earn Harps & Choppers Constantly with the X9.
Equipment
Stim Shot + Cleaning Overclock: This combo removes player debuffs while healing you instantly.
Assault Package: Combine this with Lucky Ammo in order to receive extra points for every kill. This can accelerate your streak.
Combat Tactics How to Dominate
A good loadout requires a competent pilot. How to play X9 Maverick.
Play the SMG like you used to, but hold the mid-map: We've improved the handling. Avoid rushing. Your power position on the map is in the center, where you can hold lanes and eliminate people as they move around.
Trust the Burst. Establish a rhythm. One burst, reset, two bursts. There is a negligible delay between bursts. You will see your shots fall immediately if they are landed.
As I said in the Vigilance perk post, you can use the enemy aggression against them. Even if they think you are blind and spam EMPs at you, you can still see them. Pre-aim and catch them sprinting.

Q: What if I'm not a fan of burst-type weapons?
A: Not at all. The X9 Maverick has a very short burst time, which makes it feel as if you are using a full-auto gun. The rhythm will be mastered in just two matches, unless you hold the trigger all the way down. The learning curve will be worth it if you get the rewards.
Q: What is the reason for not having a recoil handle on the muzzle?
The X9 recoil is predictable and settles very quickly in between bursts. A heavy compensator and the Monolithic Supressor will cause your ADS to slow down too much. You may lose gunfights which you could have won.

A: Absolutely. Nuketown requires the 45-round shroud barrel mag to smash windows and garage doors. Be prepared to switch to Fast Hands in case the pace gets too frantic to use standard reloads.
